Nowcast | as of 9:43 PM EDT on August 29, 2014

A strong outflow boundary continues to work southeastwards through portions of the region this evening...now moving through Indian River and Okeechobee counties and expected to move through the remainder of the Treasure Coast through the late evening hours. A line of stronger storms just behind the boundary across southern Osceola and Brevard counties will lose intensity as it moves southwards...however additional showers and storm development will be possible along the boundary...and its collisions with other boundaries around Lake Okeechobee and the Treasure Coast over the two hours. Any stronger activity will be capable of producing wind gusts up to 50 mph and frequent lightning along with heavy rain. Further north... areas of light to moderate rain with embedded thunderstorms will linger through the late evening hours. This activity will slowly diminish with sunset.
