... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 PM this evening to
noon EST Friday...

The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued
a Winter Weather Advisory for black ice... which is in effect from
6 PM this evening to noon EST Friday.

* Locations... the mountains of western North Carolina.

* Hazards... widespread black ice of roadways and other hard
surfaces.

* Timing... from early this evening through noon tomorrow.

* Impacts... hazardous travel conditions.

* Temperatures... in the low to mid 20s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for black ice means that refreezing of
roads will likely occur... resulting in the development of
widespread black ice. Be prepared for very slippery roadways. Some
roads that appear clear may be covered by a thin layer of ice.
