an area of slow moving heavy rain producing thunderstorms over
east central Hidalgo County. These storms are all moving slowly
northwest at 5 to 10 mph and will continue to produce rainfall
rates of one to two inches an hour. This may cause Arroyo and
Small Stream flooding especially near the Edcouch and Elsa areas.
Overflowing of poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding
in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience minor flooding include...
Edcouch... La Villa... Edcouch Police Department... Edcouch city
Hall... Edcouch volunteer Fire Department... Elsa Police
Department... Elsa public Library... Elsa... San Carlos... Edcouch-
Elsa High School... Laguna Seca... Monte Cristo Elementary

creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
