... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 10 am CDT this
morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northwest Texas and the Panhandle of Texas...
including the following areas... in northwest Texas... Crosby...
Floyd... Garza... Hale... Hockley... Lamb... Lubbock... Lynn and
Terry. In the Panhandle of Texas... Briscoe... Castro... Parmer
and Swisher.

* Until 10 am CDT this morning

* widespread showers and thunderstorms will continue over much
of the watch area through around mid-morning. Flash flooding
and Road closures have already occurred over portions of the
southern South Plains where as much as 5 to 10 inches of rain
has fallen.

* An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain... with localized 3 inch
amounts... will be possible through mid-morning. This rain will
fall on already saturated soils and create more flash flooding
and inundation flooding.
