Nowcast | as of 2:09 am MDT on May 30, 2015

Numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms will sink generally to the southeast at 15 to 20 mph across southern Roosevelt County through southern Chaves County and southeast Lincoln County through the early predawn hours. The majority of this current crop of stronger storms should exit Chaves and Roosevelt counties by or a little before 3 am MDT...though there is still some risk of a few additional storms developing across Lincoln...Chaves and Roosevelt counties til 4 or 5 am. Expect rain amounts with the stronger storms to range from four to nearly nine tenths of an inch. In addition... frequent lightning...wind gusts between 30 and 45 mph and a few instances of small hail are likely with the stronger storms. Be alert for ponding of water on lower lying portions of roads and fast high flows in arroyos and small streams along with some lingering heavy runoff in urban areas.
