... Winter Storm Warning now in effect until 6 PM MDT Saturday...

* locations include the cities of... Aspen... Vail... Snowmass...
Crested Butte... Taylor Park... Marble.

* Timing... periods of snow... locally heavy at times... through
Saturday afternoon.

* Snow accumulation... an additional 3 to 5 inches... bringing
totals of up 10 to 20 inches. Local amounts in excess of 2
feet.

* Winds... becoming north 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph late
tonight... then continuing Saturday.

* Visibility... less than one mile at times in heavy snow.

* Impacts... roads will be slick with slush or snow over mountain
passes... especially during the overnight hours. Backcountry
travel will be difficult.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow are
expected or occurring. Strong winds and blowing snow are also
possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
