==Discussion==

A low pressure system developing in the MacKenzie valley on Friday
will produce heavy snow with amounts of 10 to 15 cm. The snow will
begin Thursday night into Friday morning and end Friday night.
Behind the system strong winds with gusts of 50 to 70 km/h will
reduce visibilities in snow and blowing snow to less than 1
kilometre. As the system develops and moves closer, warnings will be
issued as required.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Travel is
expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some
locations. Public safety Canada encourages everyone to make an
emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food,
medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight. For information on
emergency plans and kits go to http://www.Getprepared.Gc.CA/

Winter storm watches are issued when multiple types of severe winter
weather are expected to occur together.

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required.
Please continue to monitor your local media or weatheradio for
further updates. If you would like to report severe weather, you can
call 1-800-239-0484 or send an email to storm(at)ec.Gc.CA or tweet
reports to (hash)ntstorm.
