Flash Flood Watch, Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 2:55 PM PDT on May 22, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 9 PM PDT this
evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of WA... including the following area... east slopes
of the Washington Cascades.

* Until 9 PM PDT this evening

* scattered thunderstorms are expected again today. These
thunderstorms will be capable of producing heavy rain over areas
that have recently received abundant rainfall. Expect rainfall
rates of one half to one inch of rain per hour with some storms.
This will threaten portions of the east slopes of the Washington
Cascades with flash flooding or debris flows.

* Expect standing water along roadways where heavy rain from
thunderstorms occurs... especially in areas that have poor
drainage. The main threat will be debris flows in areas of
steep terrain. Sharp rises along river and streams are also
possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

234 PM PDT Fri may 22 2015

... The small stream Flood Advisory remains in effect until 445 PM PDT
for east central Kittitas County...

At 232 PM PDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the advisory
area.

Additional rainfall up to one half of an inch is expected over the
area.

This additional rain will make minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
