Through 5pm...thunderstorms will continue to develop along a cold front which is approaching the Highway 97 corridor from the west. A few storms along this line have a history of producing brief periods of three quarter inch hail...heavy rainfall...and strong winds. Lightning could also ignite new wildfires. Statement as of 4:15 PM PDT on June 29, 2015

The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
northeastern Douglas County in northeastern Washington...

* until 615 PM PDT

* at 414 PM PDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area
with ponding of water expected on area roads.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mansfield and Leahy.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

To report flooding... have the nearest law enforcement agency relay
your report to the National Weather Service forecast office.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated... or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
