southward...

Thunderstorms are expected to develop again today over the higher
elevations of the Sierra Nevada and Lassen park area.

People enjoying the outdoors this Fourth of July will need to be
alert if thunderstorms approach. Boaters should seek the shelter
of safe Harbor. If camping in low lying spots near creeks and
rivers people should be ready to move to higher ground should
heavy rain develop and a storm lingers over your location for an
extended period of time.

After 6 PM this evening most of the activity is expected to start
to drift to the east side of the crest and the threat level will
be reduced.

Monitor NOAA Weather Radio or your favorite media outlet for
any updates throughout the afternoon.
