Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 5:20 AM PDT on July 30, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through this evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* the Antelope Valley and the Los Angeles County mountains
excluding the Santa Monica range.

* Through this evening

* rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour or greater are possible
with some storms.

* Impacts... heavy rain could lead to flash flooding... mud and
debris flows... and Rockslides. Roads could be closed due to
water flowing over them as well as mud and rocks washing onto
them. The recent pines burn area will be at risk for mud and
debris flows if heavy rain occurs.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Anyone travelling into or through the watch area today and early
tonight should check the latest National Weather Service
statements and possible warning. Also... check the latest Road
conditions.
