Statement as of 2:31 PM PDT on July 06, 2015

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 445 PM PDT for San
Bernardino County...

At 224 PM PDT... showers and thunderstorms continued over the lake
fire burn scar. Rain had decreased in intensity between 2:00 and
2:15 PM... but moderate to heavy showers will continue over the San
Bernardino Mountains through the afternoon... some of which may drift
over the burn scar. Flash flooding is possible through the
afternoon.

Earlier this afternoon caltrans and fire officials reported 4 to 5
inches of mud and water blocking all lanes on Highway 38 near the
South Fork of the Santa Ana river.

Some locations that will may experience flooding include... Forest
Falls... mount san gorgonio... Onyx Summit... Big Bear Lake... Hwy 38
between Onyx Summit and Sugarloaf... Angelus Oaks... Seven Oaks... Hwy
38 between Yucaipa and Onyx Summit... Sugarloaf... Heart Bar
Campground... Barton Flats campground and Woodlands.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Watersheds burned in 2015 within and downstream of the lake burn area
are particularly susceptible to flash floods and debris flows from
this rainstorm.

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
north central San Bernardino County in Southern California...

* until 500 PM PDT

* at 202 PM PDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain from Mountain Pass to Cima. These storms are nearly
stationary. Doppler radar estimates up to one inch of rain has
already fallen across these areas with excessive runoff expected
downstream toward Nipton and Nipton Road.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cima... Nipton and Nipton and Ivanpah roads.

This includes Interstate 15 in California between mile markers 173
and 186.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Flash flooding is expected in washes... low water crossings and on
roads. To escape rising water... move to higher ground. Never try to
cross a flooded Road or enter a flood channel. Turn around... dont
drown! Report flooding to the Las Vegas National Weather Service via
facebook or twitter.

... The Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory remains in effect until
415 PM PDT for San Bernardino County...

At 143 PM PDT... Doppler radar indicates heavy rain and thunderstorms
over Apple Valley... while moderate to heavy showers remain over the
big bear area. Radar estimates that three tenths of an inch have
fallen over Apple Valley over the past 30 minutes... and rain gages
reported 0.43 inches of rain fell near big bear over the past 2
hours.

Some locations that may experience Urban and Small Stream flooding
include... Victorville... Apple Valley... Big Bear City... Lucerne
Valley... Big Bear Lake... Baldwin Lake... Hwy 18 between Baldwin Lake
and Lucerne Valley... Sugarloaf... Hwy 18 between Running Springs and
big bear... Fawnskin... Woodlands and Green Valley Lake.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
