Nowcast | as of 8:25 PM MDT on May 3, 2015

Through late evening...scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will continue across northeast and east central New Mexico... though coverage may decrease somewhat. The most widespread activity...more showers than storms however...will stretch from De Baca County north to the east half of San Miguel County and Harding County...as well as southern Roosevelt County. A northbound outflow boundary from earlier activity will continue across Quay and Curry counties...bringing a modest increase in the potential for spotty shower and storm development there. Movement will be toward the northeast at 10 to 15 mph. In addition brief bursts of moderate to locally heavy rainfall and wind gusts between 40 and 50 mph will be common. The potential for severe weather is quite low...and will diminish further as the evening progresses.
