Nowcast | as of 6:11 PM MDT on May 3, 2015

Through 800 PM MDT...northeast and far east central New Mexico will remain among the most active regions of the state...though at least isolated storms will be found as far south as Elkins and Elida east of the Pecos Valley in southeast New Mexico. Thunderstorm coverage will favor areas near the Texas state line from Clovis north to near Nara Visa...and Clayton. Another active region will extend from Trujillo and maes in central San Miguel County northeast toward Roy...Gladstone and Mount Dora. Movement will be toward the northeast at 10 to 15 mph. In addition brief bursts of moderate to heavy rainfall...wind gusts between 40 and 50 mph will be common. The potential for severe weather is quite low...and will diminish further with the loss of daytime heating.
