Areas of rain with a few embedded thunderstorms will continue across much of the eastern New Mexico through the early morning hours. Movement will be to the northeast around 25 mph. The heaviest rain will favor northeast Chaves...Curry and Roosevelt counties. Additional rainfall amounts in these areas will generally range between a quarter and one half of an inch...though localized areas may see up to three quarters of an inch of rain. Expect high flows in normally dry arroyos and small streams and ponding of water in low spots and on highways. Elsewhere...rainfall amounts will generally be a tenth of an inch or less through 6 am.
