... Flash Flood Watch in effect through late Thursday night...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include much of north and central nm...
including the following areas... Chuska Mountains... lower Rio
Grande Valley... San Francisco River Valley... south Central
Highlands... south central mountains... Southwest Mountains...
upper Tularosa Valley and west Central Plateau.

* Through late Thursday night

* a very moist subtropical air mass has continued to move over
much of New Mexico. Repeated bursts of shower and thunderstorm
activity are expected to continue today and late Thursday night
with the potential for periods of heavy rainfall. Rainfall rates
will commonly approach 1 to 3 inches per hour with some heavier
downpours possible in localized areas.
