The full scope of the disaster following a powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake in Nepal may not come into view for days, but global charities are already sending emergency aid. Click to see how you can help.
Nowcast | as of 10:56 am MDT on April 26, 2015

Temperatures aloft over the region are quite chilly for the season. Daytime heating though limited will result in an increasingly unstable air mass that will continue to support scattered to numerous showers along with a few thunderstorms over central...south-central and much of western New Mexico through midday. Through 100 PM MDT... favored regions for thunderstorms will extend from the middle and lower Rio Grande Valley to the east slopes of the Sandia and Manzano Mountains...east to near Clines Corners then southward to the northern Sacramento Mountains. Any of the better developed thunderstorms will be capable of brief bursts of small to moderately sized hail...brief moderate to heavy rainfall and wind gusts between 40 and 50 mph. Storms will move toward the northeast at 15 to 25 mph. Snow accumulations up to 2 inches are possible above 8500 feet...though Road surfaces should remain mainly wet below 9000 feet due to the recent warmth and daylight.
