Two areas of showers and thunderstorms will affect the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles through noon. The first area is across the northeastern Texas and eastern Oklahoma panhandles. These storms will be capable of producing a half to three quarters of an inch of rainfall over the next few hours...brief wind gusts up to 35 mph...and occasional lightning. These storms will continue to slowly move to the east with time. The second area is a cluster of developing storms just north of the Interstate 40 corridor. These storms will slowly move to the north with time and be capable of producing rainfall amounts of a quarter to a half inch of rain over the next few hours. Also isolated stronger storms within this cluster could produce small hail and brief wind gusts up to 40 mph.
