Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 3:42 AM CDT on May 22, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch in effect from late tonight through late
Saturday night...

The National Weather Service in Amarillo has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of Oklahoma and Texas...
including the following areas... in Oklahoma... Beaver. In
Texas... Carson... Deaf Smith... Hemphill... Hutchinson...
Lipscomb... Ochiltree... Oldham... Potter... Randall and Roberts.

* From late tonight through late Saturday night.

* Another round of thunderstorms will move across the panhandles late
tonight and Saturday. Heavy rain is expected with these
storms... with additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches possible
across the watch area. This additional heavy rain on top of already
saturated soils may lead to flooding or flash flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
