Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 3:46 AM CDT on May 23, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of Oklahoma and Texas... including the following
areas... in Oklahoma... Beaver. In Texas... Armstrong... Carson...
Collingsworth... Deaf Smith... Donley... gray... Hemphill...
Hutchinson... Lipscomb... Ochiltree... Oldham... Potter...
Randall... Roberts and Wheeler.

* Through late tonight.

* A widespread area of thunderstorms will move across the panhandles
this morning. Heavy rain is expected with these storms... with
rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches possible across the watch area.
This additional heavy rain on top of already saturated soils may
lead to flooding or flash flooding. Additional thunderstorms may
develop this afternoon and evening... which could lead to additional
flooding problems.

* Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
