... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 am CDT this
morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northwest Texas and the Panhandle of Texas...
including the following areas... in northwest Texas... Bailey...
Childress... Cochran... Cottle... Crosby... Dickens... Floyd...
Hale... Hockley... King... Lamb... Lubbock and Motley. In the
Panhandle of Texas... Briscoe... Castro... Hall... Parmer and
Swisher.

* Until 7 am CDT this morning

* widespread slow-moving thunderstorms capable of producing very
heavy rainfall will move over the southern Texas Panhandle and
much of the South Plains and rolling plains late tonight into
early Tuesday morning. In some places... this rain will fall
where 1 to 2 inches plus has already fallen earlier Monday
afternoon and evening.

* Generally 1.5 to 3 inches of rainfall can be expected by
daybreak this morning... with locally higher amounts in excess
of 4 inches possible. Rainfall rates may exceed 2 inches per
hour at times.
