The Flash Flood Watch continues for

areas... in Oklahoma... Beaver. In Texas... Armstrong... Carson...
Collingsworth... Deaf Smith... Donley... gray... Hemphill...
Hutchinson... Lipscomb... Ochiltree... Oldham... Potter...
Randall... Roberts and Wheeler.

* Through late tonight.

* A widespread area of thunderstorms will move across the panhandles
this morning. Heavy rain is expected with these storms... with
rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches possible across the watch area.
This additional heavy rain on top of already saturated soils may
lead to flooding or flash flooding. Additional thunderstorms may
develop this afternoon and evening... which could lead to additional
flooding problems.

* Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles west of Wolf
Creek Park to 6 miles southeast of Miami to 4 miles southwest of
Alanreed... moving east at 40 mph.

Hail up to one half inch in diameter and wind gusts up to 40 mph are
expected with these storms... along with heavy rain and frequent
dangerous lightning.
