the Flood Warning continues for
the Guadalupe River at Gonzales.
* At 8:45 am Tuesday the stage was 40.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 31.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 43.6 feet by tomorrow early
afternoon. The river will then fall below flood stage Thursday evening.
* Impact... at 43.0 feet... major flooding closes highways 183, 97 and farm to
Market 108. Runoff down Tinsley creek in Gonzales added to the Guadalupe River
backwater can flood lowest homes near the creek. Secondary roads and streets
near the river are flooded and dangerous to motorists..

the Flood Warning continues for
the Plum Creek near Luling.
* At 3:45 am Tuesday the stage was 25.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by tonight.
* Impact... at 25.0 feet... major flooding, flow in Plum Creek is seventy five to
one hundred yards wide in most areas with many secondary roads and low bridges
flooded. Livestock in low areas of the flood plain may be cut off and
drowned..

the Flood Warning continues for
the San Marcos river below Luling.
* At 8:45 am Tuesday the stage was 31.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 31.7 feet by this afternoon.
The river will then fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon.
* Impact... at 32.0 feet... Palmetto State Park is under water with water in the
large Pavillion building. There is extensive damage to roads, signs, Camp
sites and the Pavillion building. Livestock are cut off and drowned in the
flood plain below San Marcos to Gonzales. The lowest sections of The Golf
Course in Luling are under water..
