... A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect until 515 PM CDT
for southeastern Guadalupe and west central Gonzales counties...

At 444 PM CDT... a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles southwest
of palmeto... or 14 miles southwest of Luling... moving southeast at 20
mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... expect damage to roofs... siding and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Kingsbury... Oak Forest... Bebe... Leesville... Monthalia and Belmont.

The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
east central Guadalupe County in south central Texas...
southeastern Caldwell County in south central Texas...
Fayette County in south central Texas...
southern Bastrop County in south central Texas...
northern Gonzales County in south central Texas...

* until 830 PM CDT

* at 436 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area... which
includes areas along I-10 from Luling to Schulenburg and extends
north into the Rosanky and La Grange areas. Flash flooding is
expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Luling... La Grange... Schulenburg... Flatonia... Waelder...
Fayetteville... palmeto... Rosanky... Muldoon... cistern...
Brownsboro... McMahan... Ottine... Ellinger... Rek Hill... Tilmon...

* At 7:45 am Saturday the stage was 20.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by this
afternoon.
* Impact... at 20.0 feet... minor lowland flooding reaches lowest Camp sites and
several sections of park roads at Palmetto State Park five miles below
Luling..

* Through Sunday morning

* a cold front and several outflow boundaries will help trigger
scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms across south
central Texas this afternoon and tonight. Some storms could
move slowly... and produce locally heavy rainfall. Between 1 to 2
inches of rain is possible... with isolated amounts up to 3
inches.

* Due to the very moist conditions of the grounds and soils in
the area... rapid flash flooding of creeks... streams... low
water crossings and some roadways will be possible where heavy
rain develops.

thunderstorms along a line extending from Helotes to Staples... and
moving southeast at 20 to 25 mph.

Torrential rainfall up to 3 inches... dime size hail and wind gusts
up to 50 mph will be possible with some of these storms.
