the Flood Warning continues for
the Guadalupe River near Cuero.
* At 8:46 am Friday the stage was 36.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall... and will fall to below flood stage by late
Monday morning.
* Impact... at 37.0 feet... major flooding. All approaches to Highway bridges
leading into Cuero expcept Highway 87 are flooded. The lowest homes flood in
the River Haven, River Oaks and Cypress Valley subdivisions ten miles
downstream near Thomaston. Flow reaches the slab of the old cp&l plant..

Sunday morning...

The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of south central Texas...
including the following areas... Atascosa... Bandera... Bastrop...
   Bexar... blanco... Burnet... Caldwell... Comal... De Witt...
Dimmit... Edwards... Fayette... frio... Gillespie... Gonzales...
Guadalupe... Hays... Karnes... Kendall... Kerr... Kinney... Lavaca...
   Lee... Llano... Maverick... Medina... real... Travis... Uvalde...
Val Verde... Williamson... Wilson and Zavala.

* From Saturday morning through Sunday morning

* a cold front will help trigger scattered to numerous showers and
thunderstorms across south central Texas Saturday and Saturday
night. Some storms could move slowly... and produce locally heavy
rainfall. Between 1-2 inches of rain is possible... with
isolated amounts up to 3 inches.

* Due to the very moist conditions of the grounds and soils in the
area... rapid flash flooding of creeks... streams... low water
crossings and some roadways will be possible where heavy rain
develops.
