Freeze Warning, Wind Advisory
Statement as of 2:41 PM CST on March 05, 2015

... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this evening...
... Freeze warning in effect from 10 PM this evening to 8 am CST
Friday...

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a freeze
warning... which is in effect from 10 PM this evening to 8 am CST
Friday.

* Timing... strong and gusty will continue through the afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to fall to or below freezing tonight
all the way to the coast.

* Winds... north winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts of 30 to 35 mph.

* Temperature... 26 to 32 degrees.

* Impacts... high winds may make driving difficult for high profile
vehicles especially on east to west roadways and bridges.
Freezing temperatures may harm tender vegetation that has grown
or bloomed over the past few weeks especially across the coastal
parishes and deep southeast Texas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 20 to 34 mph are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for
high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Winds over local
waterways could be 5 mph higher than over land. Small boats will
be especially prone to capsizing.

A freeze warning means temperatures between 32 to 26 degrees are
imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and
other sensitive vegetation.
