Watches & Warnings

Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 4:08 AM CST Feb. 12, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 8 am CST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a dense
fog advisory... which is in effect until 8 am CST this morning.

* Visibility... 1/4 to 1/2 of a mile.

* Impacts... motorists should use caution as children will be on
their way to school this morning and cars can suddenly appear
out of the fog.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
