The Flood Warning continues for
Cypress Creek near sharp Road
* until further notice... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0115 PM Thursday the stage was 166.6 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and is expected to continue.
* Flood stage is 164.2 feet.
* Forecast... the creek is expected to crest 1667 to 167.5 feet overnight.
* At 166.3 feet... moderate lowland flooding begins in the vicinity of the gage.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Brazos river near Rosharon
* until further notice... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 10 am Thursday the stage was 48.4 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and is expected to continue.
* Flood stage is 43.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to continue rising to near 50 feet by Sunday
afternoon.
* At 50.8 feet... moderate lowland flooding continues as minor flow passes
through the culvert near the Ramsey unit Prison Farm into Oyster Creek and
water flows over the flood plain into Oyster Creek.

the Brazos river in Richmond
* from late tonight to late Monday night... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0915 am Thursday the stage was 45.6 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to rise above flood stage overnight with a
continued rise to near 50 feet by Saturday afternoon.
* At 49.8 feet... massive lowland flooding occurs with many homes in Simonton and
Thompsons flooded. There is major flow across the flood plain into Oyster
Creek near Harris Reservoir and the Ramsey unit Prison Farm.

* At 0945 am Thursday the stage was 23.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and is expected to continue.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to continue a slow fall but will remain above
flood stage through the weekend.
* At 22.0 feet... moderate lowland flooding begins upstream from the gage with
significant backwater flooding up Peach Creek in Wharton County inundating low
lying areas. Minor backwater flooding up Snake Creek in Fort Bend County
begins.
