The Flood Warning continues for
the San Bernard River near Boling
* until further notice... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0931 PM Tuesday the stage was 30.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to crest near or just below major
flood stage overnight tonight.
* At 27.0 feet... there is widespread moderate flooding upstream from
the gage with significant backwater flooding up west Bernard creek
and Peach Creek in Wharton County and low lying areas in the El
Lobo subdivision are threatened. Backwater flooding up Snake Creek
in Fort Bend County threatens low areas in the tierra grande
subdivision.

the San Bernard River near East Bernard
* from Wednesday morning to Saturday morning... or until the warning
is canceled.
* At 0900 PM Tuesday the stage was 15.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to continue rising to crest
between 17 and 18 feet over the next few days.
* At 17.0 feet... minor lowland flooding begins in the vicinity of the
gage with minor roads along the river inundated. Backwater
flooding up Britt branch and bratcher Slough begins.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Brazos river near Rosharon
* until further notice... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0931 PM Tuesday the stage was 46.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 43.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will fall tonight and Wednesday before rising
again into moderate flood on Thursday to level out between 48 and
50 feet this weekend.
* At 50.8 feet... moderate lowland flooding continues as minor flow
passes through the culvert near the Ramsey unit Prison Farm into
Oyster Creek and water flows over the flood plain into Oyster
Creek.

Statement as of 3:59 AM CDT on May 27, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch in effect until noon CDT today...

The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of southeast Texas... including
the following counties... Fort Bend... Harris and Montgomery.

* Until noon CDT today

* a thunderstorm complex that developed over northwest Texas
continues to push southeast towards the region this morning...
and will be capable of producing locally heavy rain around parts
of the Houston Metro that saw 8 to 11 inches of rainfall late
Monday and early Tuesday. Any additional rainfall will raise the
possibility for flash flooding concerns... prompting the
issuance of a Flash Flood Watch through the remainder of this
morning.

* An additional 1 to 3 inches of rain is possible within the
watch area with these storms... . with locally higher amounts
possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

CDT...

At 603 am CDT... Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Devers to near
Bellville... and moving south at 25 mph. At 556 am CDT... broadcast
media reported a wind gust of 45 mph near Highway 6 at huffmeister
with this line.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Pasadena... northern Pearland... Sugar Land... Baytown... Missouri
City... La Porte... Deer Park... northwestern Rosenberg... Stafford...
