The Flood Warning continues for
the San Bernard River near Boling
* until Monday morning... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0945 am Thursday the stage was 23.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and is expected to continue.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to continue a slow fall but will remain above
flood stage through the weekend.
* At 22.0 feet... moderate lowland flooding begins upstream from the gage with
significant backwater flooding up Peach Creek in Wharton County inundating low
lying areas. Minor backwater flooding up Snake Creek in Fort Bend County
begins.

* Forecast... the river is expected to fall below flood stage Friday morning.
* At 17.0 feet... minor lowland flooding begins in the vicinity of the gage with
minor roads along the river inundated. Backwater flooding up Britt branch and
bratcher Slough begins.

* until late Sunday night... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0815 am Thursday the stage was 38.4 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 39.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon with
a continued rise to near 45.5 feet by Saturday morning.
* At 45.3 feet... many homes in the west part of Wharton have up to 2 to 3 feet
the school in southwest Wharton is isolated and flooded.

* Forecast... the river is near crest now and is expected to begin a slow fall
tonight.
* At 39.0 feet... moderate lowland flooding begins as water from Columbus routes
to near 18 feet downstream near Eagle Lake and Garwood closing FM 950 with
significant lowland flooding.
