The Flood Warning continues for
the San Bernard River near Boling
* until further notice... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0931 PM Tuesday the stage was 30.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to crest near or just below major
flood stage overnight tonight.
* At 27.0 feet... there is widespread moderate flooding upstream from
the gage with significant backwater flooding up west Bernard creek
and Peach Creek in Wharton County and low lying areas in the El
Lobo subdivision are threatened. Backwater flooding up Snake Creek
in Fort Bend County threatens low areas in the tierra grande
subdivision.

the San Bernard River near East Bernard
* from Wednesday morning to Saturday morning... or until the warning
is canceled.
* At 0900 PM Tuesday the stage was 15.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to continue rising to crest
between 17 and 18 feet over the next few days.
* At 17.0 feet... minor lowland flooding begins in the vicinity of the
gage with minor roads along the river inundated. Backwater
flooding up Britt branch and bratcher Slough begins.

* At 0915 PM Tuesday the stage was 32.2 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 39.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to crest in major flood between
44 and 45 feet later this week, based on routed flows from
upstream.
* At 45.3 feet... many homes in the west part of Wharton have up to 2
to 3 feet the school in southwest Wharton is isolated and
flooded.

the Colorado River near Columbus
* until late Friday night... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0915 PM Tuesday the stage was 37.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 34.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to crest around 42 feet early on
Thursday.
* At 41.3 feet... at levels above 41.3 feet widespread flooding of the
left flood plain occurs. In past floods some homes near U.S.
Highway 90 had up to 2 feet of water in them and FM 950
downstream from the gage was innundated and closed
