Nowcast | as of 6:26 am CDT on September 19, 2014

Early this morning...isolated showers were noted generally along and south of a Goldthwaite to Killeen to Rockdale line. This activity was generally moving towards the southeast at around 10 to 15 mph. Elsewhere...areas of patchy dense fog were being reported. Winds were generally light out of the east and southeast at 5 to 10 mph. Through sunrise...isolated showers should continue across portions of central Texas generally along and south of a Comanche to Temple to Hearne line. Brief periods of heavy rain will be possible. Otherwise...areas of patchy dense fog will continue across portions of north and central Texas...especially across areas that received rainfall over the past few days or across areas that are generally free of mid and upper level clouds. Visibilities may fall below one quarter of a mile in some spots. Motorists are urged to use caution if areas of fog are encountered. Otherwise...cloudy skies....light easterly and southeasterly winds can be expected. Temperatures will slowly climb into the mid 70s...with low 80s possible by mid morning.
