Scattered showers and thunderstorms are developing along a line from Longview to Denton to Graham. This activity will be capable of rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour...cloud to ground lightning...and gusty winds to 35 mph as it moves east at 15 mph. Meanwhile a cluster of strong thunderstorms is moving into the western portions of North Texas from West Texas. Wind gusts up to 50 mph and rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are likely with this complex of storms as it moves east and southeast at 30 mph. Soils are very saturated over the region which will result in flash flooding where heavy rain falls.

fall below flood stage by Friday evening.
