Nowcast | as of 9:06 am CDT on May 24, 2015

Widespread rain and a few thunderstorms will affect areas north of I-20 and east of I-35 through late morning as the entire area of rain moves northeast. Where moderate to heavy rainfall occurs...quick run off will induce flash flooding. If you come across flooded roads...especially moving water...turn around don't drown. Another batch of showers and thunderstorms was moving east through areas from Breckenridge to Lampasas and will continue to spread east this morning and into the metroplex and I-35 corridor. This will add to the existing high water problems. Otherwise...there will be periods of rain...and some storms...lasting into the afternoon hours. It will be humid and cloudy with temperatures warming into the mid to upper 70s by early afternoon.
