Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 2:48 AM CDT on April 27, 2015

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flood Advisory for minor flooding in poor drainage areas for...
southern Limestone County in central Texas...
Robertson County in central Texas...
Leon County in central Texas...

* until 545 am CDT

* at 247 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding. Overflowing poor
drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hearne... Groesbeck... Buffalo... Franklin... Calvert... Bremond...
Centerville... Jewett... Thornton... Kosse... Marquez and Leona.

Additional rainfall of one to one half inches is expected over the
area. This additional rain will make minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
It takes only a few inches of swiftly flowing water to carry vehicles
away.
