Areal Flood Advisory, Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 1:54 PM CDT on July 07, 2015

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* small stream Flood Advisory for...
northern Baylor County in northern Texas...
northeastern Knox County in northern Texas...
southern Wilbarger County in northern Texas...
southeastern Foard County in northern Texas...

* until 800 PM CDT Tuesday

* at 151 PM CDT... National Weather Service radar indicated moderate
to heavy rain that will cause small stream flooding in the
advisory area. Additional rainfall of one to two inches is
expected over the area this afternoon.

* Some locations that will experience minor flooding include
Grayback... Harrold... Lake Kemp... Mabelle... Red Springs... Lake
Diversion and Vera.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... highways and underpasses. Additionally... country
roads and farmlands along the banks of creeks... streams and other low
lying areas are subject to flooding.
