Areal Flood Advisory, Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 2:08 AM CDT on July 08, 2015

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* small stream Flood Advisory for...
Montague County in north central Texas...
northwestern Cooke County in north central Texas...

* until 400 am CDT

* at 203 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
small stream flooding in Montague and Cooke counties. Rainfall
amounts have exceeded 2 inches in some areas... and additional
heavy rainfall will be possible early this morning.

One area of concern is Highway 59 between Montague and Saint Jo.
Many of the creek and streams that spill into the Red River are
likely swollen or out of their banks.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear. Just one foot of
flowing water is powerful enough to sweep vehicles off the Road.
Turn around... dont drown.
