Nowcast | as of 11:11 PM CDT on September 17, 2014

At 11:11 PM...National Weather Service Doppler radars indicated a band of showers and thunderstorms across southeast Oklahoma and west central Arkansas...extending from just south of Weleetka to Clayton and Big Cedar. The storms were moving to the south and southeast near 10 mph. Through 12:30 am...scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible across much of southeast Oklahoma...while the rain should be ending across west central Arkansas. The strongest storms will be capable of producing strong winds...hail...and heavy downpours. Dangerous cloud to ground lightning can also be expected in and near thunderstorms. Average rainfall amounts should be a quarter inch or less...although locations that see the strongest storms could see up to a half inch.
