* Flash Flood Warning for...

extreme western Benton County in northwest Arkansas...

* at 714 am CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated an
area of thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall along a line
extending from 4 miles east of bunch to near Fanshawe. Very heavy
rain has fallen over parts of the warned area in the past 3 hours
with additional heavy rain expected. Flash flooding is likely to
occur. While precipitation may taper off in some areas during the
warning period... it will take some time for any high water to
runoff.

... Flood Warning extended until Thursday morning... the Flood Warning
continues for
the Poteau river near Panama.
* Until Thursday morning, or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 2:30 am Sunday, the stage was 28.52 feet.
* Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the Poteau river near Panama is expected to rise above
flood stage this morning and continue to rise to near 32.8 feet by
Tuesday before dawn . The river is expected to fall below flood
stage Thursday before dawn .
* Impact... at 33.0 feet, moderate flooding of agricultural lands
occurs between Shady Point and Arkoma. Williams Road east of Panama
and some local farm roads are flooded.
