night. Doppler radar indicated additional showers and
thunderstorms are developing across southern Oklahoma... which
will further exacerbate the flooding this afternoon.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Washita river near Dickson.

* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 9:30 am Sunday the stage was 31.6 feet.

* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 27.0 feet.

* Forecast... the Washita river will continue rising and crest near
37.9 feet Monday evening then begin falling.

* Impact... at 38.0 feet... flood depths up to 13 feet extend damages
along the Washita River Valley... from near Davis in Murray
County... to near Dickson in Carter County... to the headwaters of
Lake Texoma in Johnston County. Many homesteads may be flooded or
isolated. Over 8 thousand acres of agricultural lands are covered.
Any flooding on tributary creeks is increased by backwater from the
river.

Coal... Garvin... Hughes... Jefferson... Johnston... Lincoln...
Love... Marshall... Murray... Pontotoc... Pottawatomie and
Seminole. In northern Texas... Clay.

* Through Monday morning

* an additional 1 to 3 inches of rainfall is possible through
Monday morning. This rainfall in addition to the heavy rainfall
of recent days will create the potential of additional flash
flooding.

flooded areas... and make plans to get to higher ground if
flooding develops or worsens in your area.
