Nowcast | as of 2:29 PM CDT on August 27, 2014

At 2:29 PM...National Weather Service Doppler radars detected a few isolated showers developing over portions of far eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas...mainly within Adair and Latimer counties. All this activity was moving toward the west...around 20 miles per hour. Through 4:00 PM...isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will continue to develop...mainly across far eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. The showers and storms will be short lived...and bring brief light to moderate rainfall to a couple locations. If any of the storms become strong...they will be capable of producing cloud to ground lightning...along with heavy rainfall and gusty winds.
