Nowcast | as of 11:35 am CDT on August 20, 2014

At 11:35 am...Doppler radars detected scattered showers over parts of eastern Oklahoma and extreme northwest Arkansas...lifting northeast at around 20 mph. This activity was occurring in response to an upper level disturbance passing over the region. Through 1:00 PM...occasional showers and an isolated thunderstorm or two will be possible for locations across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas...primarily along and west of a Grant Oklahoma to Gateway Arkansas line. Passing light rain will be common for most locations affected...resulting in average rainfall from a trace to a few hundredths of an inch. Locally higher amounts of up to one quarter inch will be possible with the stronger showers and any thunderstorms that occur.
