Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 4:16 PM CDT on July 07, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Wednesday
evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of north central Arkansas... including the following
areas... Baxter... Boone... Marion... Newton and Searcy.

* Through Wednesday evening

* a cold front will slowly move to the south before returning
north will provide for several rounds of showers and
thunderstorms possible through much of Wednesday. As a
result... heavy rainfall and the threat for flash flooding will
increase.

* Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected... with the
highest amounts expected across the far northwest sections of
the area. Locally higher amounts will be possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
