Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 5:27 PM CDT on July 07, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch in effect through Wednesday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Memphis has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of east Arkansas and
west Tennessee... including the following areas... in east
Arkansas... Craighead... Mississippi and Poinsett. In west
Tennessee... Benton... Carroll... Crockett... Dyer... Gibson...
Henry... Lauderdale and Weakley.

* Through Wednesday afternoon

* rainfall amounts between 3 and 5 inches with isolated higher
amounts will be possible... especially where thunderstorms move
repeatedly over the same locations.

* Heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding. Heavy rains in
short periods of time will result in quick rises in water
levels along area creeks and small rivers. This will also
result in flooded roadways and low water crossings in areas
that receive flash flooding. Some roads may become impassable.
Turn around... Don/T drown.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
