The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River near Greenville
* from late Sunday night until further notice.
* At 11:00 am Saturday the stage was 47.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage by Monday July 06
and will continue to rise to near 49.0 feet by Wednesday July 15.
* Impact... at 48.0 feet... water begins to cover the dirt Road leading
to the farmers grain terminal facility which is north of the
Greenville bridge.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

following areas... in southeast Arkansas... Ashley and Chicot.
In Mississippi... Attala... Bolivar... Carroll... Choctaw... Clay...
   Grenada... Holmes... Humphreys... Leflore... Lowndes...
Montgomery... Noxubee... Oktibbeha... Sunflower... Washington...
Webster and Winston.

* Until 7 PM CDT this evening

* showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall are expected
today. Localized rainfall accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are
possible in a short period of time. Some of these areas have
already experienced one to three inches of rain in the past 24
hours... raising the potential for flash flooding.
