northeastern Sedgwick County in south central Kansas...
southern Marion County in central Kansas...
southern McPherson County in central Kansas...

* until 1030 am CDT

* at 532 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain which will cause flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Wichita... Hutchinson... Newton... McPherson... El Dorado... Park

Rice... Ellsworth... Saline and northern McPherson counties...

At 623 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with very
heavy rainfall continued across the warned area. Up to three inches
of rain have already fallen in some areas.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Salina... McPherson... Lindsborg... Ellsworth... Galva... Wilson...
Canton... Kanopolis... Marquette... Little River... Holyrood... Assaria...
Gypsum... Bushton... Geneseo... Brookville... Smolan... Lorraine... Windom
and New Cambria.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.
