Statement as of 7:54 PM CDT on July 06, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Wednesday
evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Anderson... Coffey... Douglas... Franklin... Lyon and Osage counties.

* Through Wednesday evening

* additional periods of locally heavy rainfall are possible Tuesday
night and possibly into Wednesday evening.

* Heavy rainfall in a short period of time will cause flash
flooding of low lying areas as well as streams and creeks.
Additionally... flooding along larger rivers may develop as
well through Wednesday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
