The Flood Warning continues for
the Neosho river near Neosho Rapids.
* Until Saturday afternoon.
* At 9:30 am Friday the stage was 23.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage later
tonight.
* Impact... at 23.0 feet... water overtops Road 145 on the west side of
the bridge over the Neosho river.

The Flood Warning is cancelled for
the Neosho river near Emporia 3nw.
* At 8:24 am Friday the stage was 18.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river crested below flood stage at 18.1 feet. The
river will fall to 13.2 feet by Saturday morning.
* Impact... at 19.0 feet... minor flooding occurs along the river
upstream to Dunlap and downstream to Neosho Rapids.

Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 10:24 AM CDT on May 29, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch in effect through late tonight...

The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of east central Kansas...
including the following areas... Anderson... Coffey... Franklin...
   Lyon and Osage.

* Through 1 am

* heavy rain fell in the watch area early Friday morning and
additional slow moving bands of moderate to heavy rain will
impact the watch area through Friday evening. 1 to 3 inches of
rain is possible through the day on Friday which may lead to
flash flooding and river flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that flash flooding is possible but not
imminent in the watch area. Persons in the watch area are advised
to check preparedness requirements... keep informed... and be ready
for quick action if flooding threatens.
