Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 4:28 AM CDT on July 07, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Wednesday
evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of east central Kansas... including the following
areas... Anderson... Coffey... Douglas... Franklin... Lyon and
Osage.

* Through Wednesday evening

* the persistent overnight rainfall will diminish this morning.
However... additional periods of locally heavy rainfall are
possible Tuesday night into late Wednesday afternoon.

* Heavy rainfall in a short period of time will cause flash
flooding of low lying areas as well as streams and creeks.
Additionally... flooding along larger rivers may develop as
well through Wednesday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
