... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Wednesday morning through
late Wednesday night...

The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a Winter
Storm Watch... which is in effect from Wednesday morning through
late Wednesday night.

* Timing and areas affected... southeast of a Branson to Salem line
beginning early Wednesday morning and continuing through
Wednesday night.

* Snow and sleet accumulations... general four to six inch amounts
are expected with isolated higher amounts possible.

* Ice accumulations... the wintry precipitation will initially
begin as some freezing rain with ice accretions of up to 0.05 of
an inch possible.

* Winds and visibility... northerly winds of 10 to 15 mph along
with the heavier snow will cause visibility of a half mile or
less at times.

* Impacts... roadways will become hazardous for travel as the ice
and snow accumulates.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
